What you’re dealing with
Cockroaches are insects that live in warm, damp, dark places and come out to feed at night. In Dubai’s heat, with air-conditioned buildings and shared drainage, they breed all year. One female can leave dozens of egg cases behind her in her lifetime, so a single sighting is rarely a single roach.
Homes and businesses call us for the same reasons: a roach in the kitchen at night, a strange smell under the sink, or a health inspector coming.
Signs you have an infestation
- Live roaches in daylight. They avoid light, so seeing one by day often means the nest is crowded.
- Droppings. Small dark specks like ground pepper in drawers and along skirting.
- Egg cases. Brown, bean-shaped capsules behind appliances.
- A musty, oily smell in cabinets or near drains.
- Smear marks on walls and shed skins in corners.
The roaches we meet most in Dubai
German cockroach
Small and light brown, with two dark stripes behind the head. Lives in kitchens and breeds fastest. The most common problem in apartments and restaurants.
American cockroach
Large and reddish-brown. Comes up from drains and sewers, often seen on balconies, in bathrooms and car parks.
Oriental cockroach
Dark and shiny. Prefers cool, damp spots like basements, laundry areas and leaking pipes.
Why you shouldn’t wait
Roaches aren’t only unpleasant. They walk through drains and waste, then across your worktops and plates.
Disease and food contamination. They walk through drains and waste, then across your food, worktops and plates, and can carry bacteria such as Salmonella and E. coli.
Allergies and asthma. Their shed skins and droppings can trigger allergies and make asthma worse, especially in children.
Damage to belongings. They chew paper, cardboard, book bindings, leather, glue and fabric, and leave stains and a lasting smell on clothes and stored items.
Electronics. They hide in warm appliances such as fridges, microwaves and routers, where they can cause faults and short circuits.
Business risk. For a restaurant or cafe, one sighting can mean a failed inspection, a bad review or a closure.
Fast breeding. A few roaches this month can become a full infestation in a few more.

Behind and under the fridge and cooker, inside kitchen cabinet hinges, around the dishwasher and washing machine, in bathroom drains and floor traps, behind switch plates and in the gaps around AC ducts and pipes. We don’t spray the whole house and hope. A technician inspects first, finds out which roach you have and where, then picks the method that fits. Here’s what we use.
Gel baiting
Small dots of bait placed where roaches travel and feed. They carry it back to the nest, which kills the ones you never see.

Most repeat infestations come from three things: neighbouring units sharing drains or walls, leftover food and moisture, and treatments that skipped the nest. We deal with all three. If it does come back during your warranty, call us and we’ll come back.

Is it safe for kids and pets?
Yes. We use approved products, place gel bait where children and pets can’t reach it, and tell you exactly when the kitchen is safe to use again.
How many visits will I need?
Most homes need one treatment and a follow-up check. We recheck after 3 days and again after 2 weeks. Heavy infestations may need a second round.
Why do roaches keep coming back?
Usually shared drains, neighbouring units, food crumbs or moisture. We find the source, treat it and tell you what to change.
Do I need to leave my home?
Normally no. Gel baiting and crack treatment need very little downtime. We’ll tell you if any area needs to stay clear for a few hours.
